Supplier Code of Conduct

This supplier code describes the conduct Merser Pumps expects from suppliers and business partners. It reflects responsible industrial procurement and must be aligned with final group policies.

01

Purpose

Merser Pumps depends on suppliers that support quality, reliable delivery and responsible business conduct.

The code sets expectations for integrity, working conditions, environment, confidentiality and compliance.

02

Legal compliance

Suppliers must comply with applicable laws, regulations, permits and industry requirements in the countries where they operate.

If local requirements are less strict than this code, suppliers are expected to work toward the higher standard where lawful and practical.

03

Business integrity

Suppliers must not offer or accept bribery, facilitation payments, improper gifts or other benefits intended to influence business decisions.

Conflicts of interest must be disclosed before they affect a commercial relationship.

04

Human rights

Suppliers must respect internationally recognised human rights and avoid contributing to abuse through their operations or supply chain.

Forced labour, child labour and discriminatory practices are not acceptable.

05

Working conditions

Employees must have safe working conditions, fair treatment and legally compliant employment terms.

Working hours, wages, leave and disciplinary practices must follow applicable law.

06

Health and safety

Suppliers must maintain a safe workplace and manage risks connected to machinery, chemicals, lifting, energy sources and transport.

Accidents and near misses should be used to improve procedures.

07

Environment

Suppliers should reduce waste, energy use and unnecessary environmental impact where possible.

Material choices, packaging and transport should support long product life and responsible resource use.

08

Quality

Suppliers must deliver products, materials and services that match agreed specifications.

Quality deviations must be communicated promptly and corrected in a structured way.

09

Traceability

Relevant materials, certificates, batch information and technical records should be traceable where the delivery requires it.

Unconfirmed certificate numbers or standards must not be invented or implied.

10

Confidentiality

Suppliers may receive drawings, part references, customer information or other confidential material.

Such information must be protected and used only for the agreed purpose.

11

Sub-suppliers

Suppliers are expected to communicate relevant requirements to their own suppliers and subcontractors.

Merser Pumps may request information about sub-supplier controls where needed for quality or compliance.

12

Reporting concerns

Suppliers should report serious concerns, suspected misconduct or breaches of this code.

Reports can be made through the available contact channels or the whistleblower page where appropriate.

13

Corrective action

If a supplier does not meet expectations, Merser Pumps may request corrective action and follow-up documentation.

Serious or repeated breaches may lead to suspension or termination of the business relationship.

14

Review

This code should be reviewed as procurement practices, legislation and group policies develop.

The final version should be approved by management before publication.
